Jama Masjid


                                  
The fabulous Jama Masjid of Delhi was worked by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan amid 1650-1656. Arranged on a slope close to the Red post, this biggest mosque of India took 5,000 workers 6 years to finish and pays demonstration of the vision and intensity of Shah Jahan, who is viewed as the most productive developer among the Mughal rulers. The exceedingly embellishing mosque has three awesome doors, four towers and two 40 m-high minarets developed of pieces of red sandstone and white marble.


ST JAMES CHURCH

                          

Worked by Colonel James Skinner, St. James church was sanctified in 1836. Consolidating the styles of Greek and Roman engineering, the congregation is outlined in a cruciform arrangement with the passage towards the west and the sacred place towards the east. Its arch strikingly is fundamentally the same as that of Florence Cathedral in Venice in Italy. Patios on the north, south and the west furnish the working with three passages. The focal bit of the congregation is an octagon with round sections supporting the vault.
